Presenter Instructions

We look forward to your presentation at the 21st Canadian Semiconductor Science and Technology Conference. Please review the instructions below carefully to help ensure a smooth conference experience for all presenters and attendees. As a reminder, all presenters must be registered for the conference.

Oral Presentation Instructions

All oral presentations will take place onsite as scheduled in the conference program. Presenters are asked to be present for their full session and to respect the time allocated for their presentation.

  • Regular contributed presentations: 12 minutes

  • Invited presentations: 17 minutes

  • Plenary, keynote, and tutorial presentations: 27 minutes

All presentations will be followed by a 3-minute question period.

Please prepare your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint format. Presenters are encouraged to use a clear, readable layout and to check that all fonts, figures, equations, videos, and animations display correctly before uploading their file.

All oral presenters must upload their presentation at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of their presentation session. Presentations will be loaded onto the room computer and will be deleted at the end of each day. To ensure a consistent experience and smooth transitions between speakers, personal laptops cannot be used for presentations.

The maximum poster size is 120 cm x 120 cm (4 feet x 4 feet). Please ensure that your poster fits within this display area and that all text, figures, and graphics are readable from a comfortable viewing distance.

Presenters must install their poster before noon on the day of their presentation. Push pins will be provided. Additional details about poster locations and setup will be provided directly to presenters.
